First Aid Training
Albacare have been providing First Aid at Work since 1991 with the addition of Scottish Youth Football Association and UK Athletics for Sports coaches across Scotland.
We are also proud to be the Scottish provider of the British Horse Society’s First Aid course for Equestrian professionals.
We have also Partnered with Treevolution Scotland to provide and immersive course specific to out door work. This course is aimed at Arboreal Professional, Game Keepers, Deer Stalkers and anyone Working on Forestry and Land Scotland locations.
We have trained at Hampden Park our National Football Stadium, a host of historic locations across Scotland and the rest of the UK. We work with numerous Michelin Star Restaurants, massive multinational organisations.
Some of the prestigious locations we have been fortunate to have as our training rooms include – Edinburgh Castle, Hampden Football Stadium, Borthwick Castle (one the residence of Mary Queen of Scots).

All of our instructors are Albacare employees, ensuring we continually provide a supremely high quality training package. Our instructors are passionate not only about delivering sound and proper training, but also about providing the best standards of care for casualties on event cover.
Therefore it only made sense that we became voluntary Community First Responders in our local community of Bathgate, West Lothian. Along with Barry, a committed and highly respected Director for a global construction firm, and two members of the Scottish Ambulance Service, the five of us together set up Bathgate Community First Responders in 2009, tasked with responding to emergency 999 calls in our local area. We are continuing to recruit responders, to expanding the area we cover and the number of West Lothian communities we can reach.

Audiometry
Albacare’s British Society of Audiometry approved courses are taught by experienced practitioners with decades of combined experience and thousands of tests and cases in the real world.
Learn how to do the tests, calculate, and present results, and become a competent and confident practitioner. These courses are designed for people working in Occupational Health.
Spirometry
Learn how to carry out Lung function testing for those exposed to workplace hazards. Interpretation is often the hardest step in learning Spirometry and gaining confidence in applying the skill, our experienced instructors will guide you from foundation knowledge to confidence.

Fire Warden/Safety
Our Fire Safety course is a truly immersive fire safety course where the delegates are trained using REAL fire extinguishers and a REAL fire.
Our portable custom built fire training rig ensures, like all of our training, Fire Safety courses can be carried out at our location or at yours.
MiDAS Training
MiDAS is the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme, which has been the gold standard for enhancing the safety and care of passengers for nearly 30 years. The scheme provides a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of drivers to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge to provide safe, legal and comfortable journeys to passengers.
MiDAS is available to any organisation operating or using minibuses. Organisations that train their drivers in MiDAS range from small voluntary organisations with one vehicle, to local authorities operating large fleets of minibuses as well as schools, colleges and universities.
Mental Health & Well Being
In 2023 the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) identified the need for Mental Ill Health First Aid to be included in the Assessment of First Aid Needs.
